Elizabeth “Betty” A. Serrago

July 8, 1957 - November 17, 2016

Elizabeth Ann, “Betty” Serrago, 59, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 1988, and a native of Massapequa, NY passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Cape Coral. She was born July 8, 1957 in Bethpage, NY to Timothy and Sheila Lynch, now deceased.

Betty was of the Catholic faith. She was co-owner of KC’s Riverstop for 20 years, a “must go-to” spot for locals and visitors alike, for folks would be always warmly greeted by the most beautiful cornflower blue-eyed Betty and want to return and bring their friends to not only enjoy the best sunset views in Cape Coral, but to always know this was a place where you felt at home. Betty treated every customer like family and every child like it was her own. Over the course of the 20 years, she loved seeing the children grow up and become adults and then bring their own children. To many people in the area, a great deal of folks felt like Betty was their second mother. She was known for her generosity of not only her time, but her spirit. She was always willing to open the doors of KC’s to help with veterans, law enforcement, and children, to name a few. She truly put others first.

She is survived by two loving children, Joseph Serrago (Amanda) of Ft. Myers, FL and Timothy Serrago of Cape Coral; sisters, Anna McGeady (Dan) of Bethany Beach, DE and Noreen Hofmann (Michael) of Charlotte, NC; a nephew, Daniel McGeady of Bethany Beach, DE and a niece, Amy Rice of Charlotte, NC; as well as her former husband and partner, Carmine Serrago.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Moose Lodge 2199, located at 155 Santa Barbara Blvd., Cape Coral, FL 33909 at 12 noon on Wednesday, November 23, 2016.
