James E. Persinger

February 5, 1938 - February 17, 2017

James Earl Persinger, 79, a resident of Ft. Myers, FL for the past 17 years, formerly of Birmingham, AL passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 in Ft. Myers. He was born February 5, 1938 in Beckley, WVA to Earl and Orpha Persinger, now deceased.

James was a graduate of Shady Springs High School in 1955. He served in The U.S. Navy from 1956- 1962 prior to his employment at Shroeder Brothers Inc., where he worked from 1961 until his retirement in 2001.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Billie Sue Persinger of Ft. Myers; loving son, Earl Persinger (Arlene Kuhn) of Ft. Myers; sister, Martha Ellen Cooper (Jerry) of Greenville, FL; two granddaughters, Erin Persinger of Nashville, TN, Emma Persinger of Aventura, FL, and their mother, Stacey Loring; many cousins and friends from Birmingham, AL and Beckley, WVA; as well as his favorite four legged friend, Choc-co.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Mona Lisa Italian Restaurant, 7091 College Pkwy., Ft. Myers, FL 33907.
