Kenneth “Kenny” D. Coffey

Kenneth “Kenny” Donley Coffey, 51, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 2013, formerly of Homestead, FL, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017 in Cape Coral. He was born July 24, 1965 in Homestead, FL.

Kenny was a graduate of South Dade Senior High School, Class Of 1983, he worked for many years with his family at Coffey’s Country Store. After leaving the store he became a union electrician, as a member of Local 349, working for DC Electric, where he worked for 14 years. After moving to Cape Coral, he worked with his longtime friend Danny Rudisill, Jr. He will always be remembered as a hardworking, sensitive, funny guy who knew how to have a good time (especially after a few beers). He loved to be out on the boat or out in the woods. He loved to hunt and fish and spend time with his family.

He is survived by his loving parents, Ed and Susan Coffey of Vero Beach, FL; loving children, Julia Bales (Jc) of Homestead, FL, Colton Coffey of Miami, FL, and Meghan Kenney of Miami, FL; sister, Donna Schmidt of Jacksonville, FL; former wife, Angel Coffey Lazzeri of Miami; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Vero Beach, FL, but will be limited to family only.

Memorial Contributions in memory of Kenneth “Kenny” Donley Coffey are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
