Muriel M. Schell

Muriel Mae Schell, 81, of Lehigh Acres, FL formerly of Hermitage and Greenville, PA passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, FL. She was born August 23, 1935 in Greenville, PA to the late Daniel and Tressa Pifer.

Muriel was a 1953 graduate of Greenville High School. She retired in 1990 from Greenville Hospital after 30 years of service. Muriel’s passion was spending time with her family. She loved vacations to Niagara Falls as well as taking country drives. Her hobbies included boating, listening to country music, playing board games, word search puzzles and baking cookies.

Muriel is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Wesley Schell, Sr; five loving children, Deborah Bancroft of Sharon, PA, Roberta McEwen (John) of Lehigh Acres, FL, Wesley Schell, Jr. of Sharon, PA, Linda Ashley (Chris) of Ft. Myers, FL and Lori Williams (Michael Chamberlain) of Cape Coral, FL; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Muriel was preceded in death by her son, Ronald E. Schell and eight siblings.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in Shenango Valley Cemetery, 53 College Avenue, Greenville, PA 16125. A celebration of life gathering will follow in Greenville, PA.
