Thomas “Tom” C. Maddox

Thomas “Tom” Carlton Maddox, 67, a resident of North Ft. Myers, FL for 55 years, formerly of Crisfield, MD and Naranja, FL, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017 in Ft. Myers, FL. He was born December 28, 1949 in Crisfield, MD to Carroll and Lyndell Maddox, now deceased.

Tom graduated from North Ft. Myers High School and attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL. He owned and operated Cape Coral Excavating for over 30 years. Tom was a member of The Loyal Order of Moose and also The Fraternal Order of Eagles. In his younger years, he enjoyed motorcycling and air boating. What he was most passionate about, was taking his boat out fishing. He was a gifted mechanic and worked very hard to support his family and to have the things he had. Tom was a fair and honest man and would take the time to help anyone in need, whether he knew them or not. He had a good sense of humor and was very outgoing. He made friends easily and had a lot of them. He will be missed by everyone that knew him, especially his family and closest friends.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Carol H. Maddox of North Ft. Myers, FL; two children, Brandon Thomas Maddox of North Ft. Myers, FL and Kadra Lynn Maddox of Columbus, OH; one brother, Robert Maddox (Carole) of Morgantown, GA; as well as one sister, Linda Wilkerson of Davie, FL.

Memorial Services will be held 2:30 PM Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33916 with Pastor Lee Carnahan officiating.
