Alberta Askew, 79, a resident of Fort Myers, FL for the past 32 years, formerly of Akron, OH, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020 in Fort Myers. She was born July 14, 1940 in Akron, OH to Roy and Joseph Pennington, now deceased.
Alberta was of the Baptist faith and she was an animal lover.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Paul D. Askew of Fort Myers; loving son, Johnny Hickman (Denise) of Myrtle Beach, SC; stepsons, Bart and Ty; sister, Joann LaBelle (Terry) of Portage Lakes, OH; stepsisters, Cindy and Janet, and stepbrother, Michael; two grandchildren, Brandon Hubner and Eric Hickman; as well as a great granddaughter, Laci Hubner.
No formal services are planned at this time.
