Alberto Galvez

Alberto Galvez, de 71 años, residente de Cape Coral, FL durante los últimos 25 años, anteriormente de Miami, FL, falleció el sábado 10 de abril de 2021 en Cape Coral. Nació el 31 de enero de 1950 en La Habana, Cuba de padres Alberto Gálvez y Ángela Renovales, ahora fallecidos.

Alberto era de religión católica. Era un esposo amado y un padre amoroso. Fue un sobreviviente, trató con todas sus fuerzas de salir de su país (Cuba) donde vivía pobre y hambriento para venir a los Estados Unidos y hacer una vida mejor para él y su esposa. Una vez establecido aqui, ayudó a toda su familia y amigos a migrar a los Estados Unidos para tener una vida mejor. Fue un esposo, padre y amigo trabajador y confiable para todos los que lo rodeaban y cualquiera que haya tenido el placer de conocerlo lo extrañará mucho.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa durante 42 años, María Gálvez de Cape Coral; dos niños cariñosos, Francy Galvez Benoit de Lehigh Acres, FL y Michael Galvez de Cape Coral, FL; hermanos, Luis Reynaldo Medina (Mercy Medina) de Cape Coral, FL, Lazaro Galvez de Miami, FL y Rigoberto Galvez de CT; nietos, Antoine, Adrian y Alexander, Benoit de Lehigh Acres, FL; tío, Juan Renovales de Miami, FL; numerosas sobrinas, sobrinos y primos; así como Nina, la perra de la familia.

Alberto fue precedido en la muerte por un hermano, Héctor Izquierdo.

Los servicios conmemorativos se llevarán a cabo a las 11:00 a.m. el sábado 1 de Mayo de 2021 en Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33916 con Edison Gibbons oficiando. La familia recibirá a los amigos por un tiempo de visita desde las 10:00 AM hasta el momento del servicio.

Alberto Galvez, 71, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past 25 years, formerly of Miami, FL, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 in Cape Coral. He was born January 31, 1950 in Havana, Cuba to Alberto Galvez and Angela Renovales, now deceased.

Alberto was of the Catholic faith. He was a beloved husband and a loving father. He was a survivor, he tried very hard to leave his country (Cuba) where he lived poor and hungry to come to the US to make a better life for himself and his family. Once established he helped all his family and friends migrate to the US for a better life as well. He was a hardworking and dependable husband, father, and friend to all those around him and will be greatly missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Maria Galvez of Cape Coral; two loving children, Francy Galvez Benoit of Lehigh Acres, FL and Michael Galvez of Cape Coral, FL; brothers, Luis Reynaldo Medina (Mercy Medina) of Cape Coral, FL, Lazaro Galvez of Miami, FL and Rigoberto Galvez of CT; grandchildren, Antoine, Adrian, and Alexander, Benoit of Lehigh Acres, FL; uncle, Juan Renovales of Miami, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as Nina, the family dog.

Alberto was preceded in death by a brother, Hector Izquierdo.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33916 with Edison Gibbons officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Memorial Contributions in memory of Alberto Galvez are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
