Amber Rachelle Hammermeister

Amber Hammermeister, 44, a lifelong Cape Coral resident, saw Heaven’s glory on March 15, 2024, after a brief illness. Amber was the completing puzzle piece in the Sluder family, born on August 10, 1979.

Those of us who had the privilege of knowing and loving Amber will always remember her for her love of her Heavenly Father and her passion for worship through song and singing. Sunday mornings found Amber worshiping at Citygate Ministries, Fort Myers. Amber was a faithful and loving daughter.

Amber’s mom, Melba and her Aunt Lujuan Padilla were truly her best friends, and she loved adventures with them. One of Amber’s greatest joys happened on December 10, 2014, the day that Ethan Hammermeister was born. He was her pride and joy and the love of her life.  Being Ethan’s mom completed her.

Amber leaves her dad and mother; brothers, Michael Sluder and Joey (Elizabeth); and nieces, Stephanie, Bethany, Haley and Katelyn; her aunt, Lujuan Padilla; and many, many other aunts, uncles, and cousins to keep her memory alive.

Amber was welcomed to Heaven’s glory by her uncle, Mike Padilla; her cousin, Tyler Padilla; her uncle, Bobby Sluder; her uncle, Earl Sluder; her sister-in-law, Lisa Sluder; her grandparents; and other family members called home before her.

God gave us Amber for a mere 44 years but left us a lifetime of memories and adventures to hold our hearts until we are reunited. Rest easy baby girl, we will see you when we see you. Watch over us all.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Citygate Ministries, 1735 Jackson Street, Ft. Myers, FL 33901.
