Andy Eugene Seeley, Sr.

Andy Eugene Seeley, Sr., 65, passed away peacefully at Cape Coral Hospital on November 18th, 2023 due to complications from a stroke.

Andy was born on July 28th, 1958 in Fort Myers. He attended local schools and graduated from North Fort Myers High School in 1976. He was a lifelong North Fort Myers resident.

Following school, Andy worked for Herschel Machine and Welding for a brief time before joining his father Frank in starting Seeley’s Auto Repair in North Fort Myers in 1977. After several years of working together, Andy took over ownership of the business and continued to run the company until his passing.

Andy was preceded in death by his father, Frank Seeley; his son, James Gindhart, and his stepfather, Ted Mathis.

He is survived by his beloved mother, Marilyn Mathis of Lehigh Acres and his children, son Andy Seeley, Jr. (Adrian) of Cape Coral; daughter Brandy Seeley of Fort Myers; son Edward Seeley of North Fort Myers; son Samuel Seeley of North Fort Myers, and daughter-in-law Melanie Vyain of Cape Coral.

In addition, Andy leaves his siblings, sister Lorraine Hemphill (John) of Lehigh Acres; brother Randy Seeley (Ellen) of Cape Coral; brother Robert Seeley (Alicia) of North Fort Myers, and sister Margaret Seeley of Lehigh Acres.

Also left to cherish his memory are Andy’s grandchildren, Andy (AJ), Ayden, Hailey, Trevor, Brooklyn and Madison.

Andy also leaves his aunt, Carole Niles, his uncle, Sam Walenta, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Carriage Village Club House, 5451 Bayshore Road, North Fort Myers, FL 33917.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to “Jim’s Friends Helping Friends”, 37601 Rickard Lane, North Fort Myers, FL 33917. This is a local charitable organization that provides invaluable assistance to families in the area. The Seeley family sends their heartfelt thanks to the organization for their generous support with Andy’s cremation services.
