Angel Manuel Gonzalez

Angel Manuel Gonzalez, 71, a resident of Cape Coral for the past three years, formerly of Naples, FL, passed away Friday, July 28, 2023 in Cape Coral. He was born May 22, 1952 in Jayuya, Puerto Rico to Miguel Gonzalez and Justina Vargas, now deceased.

Angel was of Christian faith. He moved to New Jersey at the age of 16, where he was a dedicated worker, and with his warm heart and generous personality gained many lifelong friends. I’m his youth Angel expressed his creativity by writing and performing his own music. 

In 1978 he met Milagros Delgado and within the year they had started a family. His children include Darlene, Angel Omar and Janielle. Being a kind and dependable father was of the utmost importance to Angel Gonzalez and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving his family.

He passed away surrounded by those he loved due to cancer. He is survived by his three loving children, Darlene Gonzalez -Sittler (son-in-law, Michael) of Austin, TX, Angel Omar Gonzalez of San Jose, CA and Janielle Marrero (son-in-law, Ezequiel) of Cape Coral; former wife, Milagros Delgado; siblings, Norma Rosado, Hernan Gonzalez, Jose Gonzalez, and Gilbert Gonzalez; six grandchildren, Adriana, Christian, Isabella, Sophia, Ethan and Viviana; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33916 with Carlos Trabal officiating. The Family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 4:00 PM until the time of service.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Coral Ridge Cemetery, 1630 SW Pine Island Rd, Cape Coral, FL 33991.
