Anne Dorothy Lau

Anne Dorothy Lau, 93, a longtime resident of Fort Myers Beach, Florida, formerly of Sparks, Maryland, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023 in Cape Coral, Florida.  She was born October 5, 1930 in Ramsey, New Jersey to George and Dorothy Stricker, now deceased.

Anne was a founding member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Fort Myers Beach, Florida.   She worked in the health care industry as a lab technician.   She had a passion for her church and enjoyed volunteering at a local school and hospital.   Her greatest joy was her love of God and family.

She is survived by her five loving children, Steve Lau of Vero Beach, Florida, Mark Lau (Doreen) of Cape Coral, Florida, Paul Lau of Inverness, Florida, Timothy Lau (Carol) of Cape Coral, Florida, Beth Hatala (Lennie) of Vero Beach, Florida, one sister, Norma Jones of Tennessee, one brother, John Stricker (Wanda) of Maryland, 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, one niece, Julie, as well as three nephews, Mike, Bill and Eddie.

Anne was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Rev. Dale Lau, and Daughter in laws, Anne (Steve) and Sandee (Paul).

A private family service will be held.
