Averill Rodgers Walker

Averill Rodgers Amende Walker, 67, a Cape Coral resident since 1974, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 in Cape Coral, FL. She was born August 13, 1948 to Kurt and Emmaline Forgy Amende, both of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Walker Boesch as well as her beloved grandchildren Alexander Stephen Boesch and Eleanor Rodgers Boesch, the absolute joys of her life, all of Cape Coral. Additionally, Averill is survived by an amazing group of friends who have become family over the years; “The Girls”, Diane Hoxsey-Homison, Marcia Epperson, Jean Popoli and Geraldine Shackleford, her beloved friend and road-trip buddy of forty-plus years, Susyn Thomas, and her “niece in spirit”, Shannon Hoxsey Bengston.

A memorial service honoring Averill will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel at Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway East, Cape Coral, FL 33909. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in honor of Averill to Hope Hospice or the charity of your choice.
