Barbara Ann Case (Yatch)

Barbara Ann Case (Yatch), 88, a resident of Cape Coral, FL, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023 in Cape Coral. She was born March 5, 1935 in Amsterdam, NY to Charles and Sally Yatch, now deceased.

Barbara attended Amsterdam public schools and St. Mary’s Institute, where she graduated in 1952. She married Richard Case on April 16, 1955. She was employed by General Electric Company in Schenectady, NY and the greater Amsterdam school district for 18 years where she was a teacher’s aide. She was also a past president of the Teacher Aides Association. Barbara was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Amsterdam, NY and St. Andrews Catholic Church in Cape Coral, FL.

She is survived by her three loving sons, Timothy Case of Cape Coral, Robert Case of Schenectady, NY, and William Case of Finchville, KY; six grandchildren, Alicia Case of New York, NY, Marc Case of Schenectady, NY, Chelsea Case of San Diego, CA and Morgan Case of Portland, Oregon, and Frankie and Megan Case of Schenectady, NY; as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard H. Case on February 4, 2016; as well as sister, Yvonne Rusnica in August of 2016.

No formal services will be held.
