Barbara Mildred DaPena, 87, a resident of Cape Coral, formerly of Roselle, NJ, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 in Ft. Myers. She was born October 9, 1929 in Elizabeth, NJ to John and Mildred DaPena, now deceased.
Barbara was…a loving, kind and independent woman who always made everyone laugh. Barbara was a true "Jersey Girl" that enjoyed gambling and playing the lottery. She loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving niece, Athena Mummert and her fiancé Bob Hicks of Ft. Myers; two great nephews, Christopher Saavedra and wife Erika of Cape Coral and Billy Stecher of Ft. Myers.
Barbara was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Roumelis and a great nephew, Manuel John Saavedra.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2514 Lee Blvd, Lehigh Acres, FL 33971. Date and time to be announced via MullinsMemorial.com.
