Bernard Virgil Converse

Bernard "Bud" Virgil Converse, 70, a Cape Coral, Florida resident for over a year, formerly of Waterford, Michigan passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 in Cape Coral. He was born January 27, 1946 in Oswego, New York. For over 30 years Bud worked in the air handling industry holding various positions with Donaldson Air Filters and Nederman Inc. He touched many lives during his interaction with employees and representatives around the world. As he headed towards retirement he continued working in this field with Monoxivent Source Capture Systems. This was due to his love of the everyday interaction with the many long lasting friends and co-workers who he had developed relationships with over the years. He was an avid sports fan ….NOT U of M… but he loved his Lions and football in general and enjoyed the occasional "friendly betting" on all games. He shared his love of cooking with his granddaughters and loved nothing more than large Sunday dinners with his family. "We love and miss you Poppa" !!!! He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Barbara Converse of Cape Coral; loving mother, Vivian Converse of Cape Coral; two loving children, Jeffrey Converse of Walled Lake, MI and Nicole Converse of Highland, MI; brother, Michael Converse (Barbara) of Perrysburg, OH; niece, Katie Goodwin of Chicago, IL and nephew, Steven Converse of Perrysburg, OH; as well as two grandchildren, Haley and Mackenzie.
