Betty June Borg

Betty June Borg, 92, a resident of North Fort Myers, formerly of Naples, FL and Highland, MI, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 in North Fort Myers. She was born April 13, 1930 in Salem, West Virginia to Towles and Mina Douglass, now deceased. 

Betty married her childhood sweetheart, Joseph Borg, and celebrated 69 years of marriage. They enjoyed camping with their family and friends, traveling, boating, going on cruises and eating out. After Betty's retirement from Huron Valley Schools, they made Florida their winter home. 

Betty was proud of her Scottish heritage and enjoyed tracing her genealogy and attending Douglass Family reunions each year. Christmas was her favorite holiday to decorate her home extensively. She loved looking at pictures of her family and was a crossword wizard. 

She is survived by her four loving children, Donna Hubbard (Mark) of Highland, MI, Larry Borg (Darlene) of Lakewood, CA, Debbie Dolkowski (Larry) of Highland, MI and Denise DeWitt (Shane) of N. Ft. Myers, FL; as well as eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. 

Betty was preceded in death by her spouse, Joseph Borg; five siblings; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Betty was a member of Thrive Church in Highland, MI.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Michigan at a later date. Details to be announced via www.MullinsMemorial.com.

No services will be held in Florida.
