Betty Maxine Day

Betty Maxine Day, 90, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 1973, formerly of Flint, MI, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023 in Ft. Myers, FL. She was born November 8, 1933 in Flint, MI to John and Nellie Tabor, now deceased.

Betty first met the love of her life, Robert Gene Day, in the summer of 1949. In September of 1951 Bob & Betty (as everyone knew them by) got married, and made roots in Flint, Michigan. Their first son, Vance Lane was born in July of 1952. Followed by two other sons, David Gene and James Lee, and lastly a daughter named Judy Lynn. The entire family moved to SW Florida in the early 1970’s where the family started their own roofing company. She loved singing and dancing with her husband, Bob. Betty and Bob were able to celebrate their 67th wedding anniversary in September of 2018 before Bobs passing in January of 2019.

She is survived by her children, Vance Day (Sheila) of Cape Coral, FL, Dave Day of Austin, TX, Jim Day of MI, and Judy Silverberg (Ron) of Boca Raton, FL; eight grandchildren; as well as nine great-grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Day in January 2019.

All are welcome for the funeral talk of Betty Maxine Day at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 4801 Orange Grove Blvd, North Fort Myers, FL 33903.
