Boldisar Steven Porch

Boldisar Steve Porch, was raised by his parents Maria Halasz, and Janos Porcs,on the southern frontier of Slovakia, near a town called Szollosardo. This area was known as a wine making region, until a plague wiped out the entire strain. Not wanting to farm, Dad enlisted in the Hungarian Army, where he was trained as a Tank commander. In 1945 Steve was liberated from Dachau Prison camp, by the US Army. He worked for the Armyin Marnbach. Germany, where he met the love of his life - Emmy. He came to the US with the Army, who gave him $1.00 and a bus ticket to live with his uncle, Joe Porcs, in Toledo, Ohio. He met his 1^stwife while working at Libbey Glass there, and settled in Northwood, Ohio, raising two sons - Paul and Perry. Steve worked for Schindler/Haughton for 35 years, and retired in 1987. He moved to Miami Beach in 1997, and lived aboard our 60' Hatteras Yacht Fisherman, until 1999, when he moved to California to raise 2 - Australian Shepherds- Chip & Dale. In 2011 he moved back to Florida,to 'fish off the dock',where he resided until his death. He got up early last week, and went for a walk with his physical therapist, sat down in his Lazy boy chair, and fell asleep watching the news. He passed in his sleep. We are sure that Dad is resting comfortably in the hands of God, and hanging out with his favorite Aussie - Dale.
