Bonnie Gay Blevins, 83, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 1976, formerly of Sarasota and North Port, FL, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 in Cape Coral. She was born January 11, 1940 in Wurtland, KY to Connie and Genevieve, now deceased.
Bonnie was of the Christian faith. She was a devoted and loving Sister, Mother, Mamaw, and Great Mamaw. She was a Registered Nurse and worked in the nursing field for over 50 years. She treasured taking care of people, especially her family. She was a strong woman who knew her value and made sure others saw theirs. She was an amazing woman who would not rest till she knew her loved ones were okay. She taught us to be brave, to speak our minds, and never to be silent in times of need. She taught us to be strong in times when we felt defeated. If there was ever anyone who believed in us and never for one day gave up on us, it would be her. Everyone who knew her understood her abounding love of life and family. All the love that she gave to us will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Kathy Moses (Jim), Jerri Blevins, and Jenifer Smith (Mike) all of Cape Coral; sister, Concetta Sue Perkins of Ashland, KY; grandchildren, Tearine Wunder, Kaitlyn Mazza, Mikey Smith, Jesse Blevins, and Joshua Moses; as well as great grandchildren, Anthony Roman, Aubry Wunder, Liam Wunder, Luka Wunder, Garen Blevins, and William Mazza.
