Brian David Falco, 54, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since October of 2017, formerly of Southington, CT, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024 in Cape Coral. He was born November 8, 1970 in New Britain, CT.
Brian retired out of Berlin, CT Police Department and was currently serving the Lee County Sheriff Department in Fort Myers, FL.
Brian was best known for his many stories be they about his Bronco from high school recently restored, his children he was so proud of, his many life adventures or his favorite baseball team the New York Yankees.
Brian was an amazing caring and devoted father, and loved to visit new stadiums, amusement parks, and took in a few concerts with his kids.
He will be remembered for his kindness and caring, his ability to make you laugh with his quirky comebacks and silly joking manner and his own perception that he knew everything about everything. Most times he did! His patience and understanding were genuine and his ability to remember details about things from years ago was quite impressive.
He played baseball growing up, as well as coached kids as an adult. He rode dirt bikes, worked on his Mustang, built a crazy tree fort, travel to Florida every summer with his family, collected rare beer cans, loved to shoot his gun collection, collected coins, records, old magazines and movies.
In his spare time, he loved a good 2000-piece puzzle. Star Wars was his favorite and he could imitate the voice of Yoda perfectly.
Brian loved watching the sunset while sitting by the water, boat rides down the Cape canals, watching the latest movie, and dinners at his favorite restaurant Papa Joes.
He leaves a trail of friendships across many states as he had the ability to make friends with whomever he met. He met so many people in his lifetime and I swear I NEVER met ONE person that didn’t like him. He was AMAZING!
Brians dream was to retire in a year, buy an RV, pack up his three little dogs with Lynne, and travel across the country visiting lifelong grade school friends ending up in Alaska. Seeing Alaska was on his bucket list.
Sadly, ALS is an unkind disease. Brian fought for two hard years, working almost to the end. He passed peacefully at home in his sleep.
As sad as we all are about his passing, Brian is a Christian and would want us all to remember he is home with his Lord and Savior, and he is free from his disease. As a family we will miss him in all that we do but we hold onto the promise that we will one day be reunited with Brian again. Until then he is forever in our hearts.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lynne Falco; parents, Anthony and Barbara Falco; three children, Brian Patrick Falco, Nicholas Ryan Falco, and Katlyn Marie Falco; two step children, David Christopher Olson (Stephanie), and Robert Michael Lawrence; brother, Anthony Tony Falco (Michelle); nephews, Daniel & Jacob; niece, Leane; as well as four grandchildren, Arianna, Victoria, Mia, and Wesley.
Brian was preceded in death by a daughter, Marissa Nicole Olson/ Falco; as well as step daughter, Rachel Carin Lawrence.
No formal services are planned at this time.
Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cape Coral, is entrusted with final care.
