Brianna Marie Harris

Brianna Marie Harris, 15, a Cape Coral, Fl resident for the past 6 years, formerly of Kearney, Mo, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 in Cape Coral. She was born March 6, 2001 in Liberty, Mo. She is survived by loving parents, Shawn and Joy Harris of Cape Coral, Fl; maternal grandparents, Don of Liberty, Mo and Patricia Crow of Orrick, Mo; sister, Devan Patrice Crow of Orrick, Mo; brother, Colten David Harris of Cape Coral, Fl; as well as three aunts, Lisa McKenzie and husband Eric of Lathrop, Mo, Laura Schmude and husband Richard of Kansas City, Mo, and Elaina Rinacke and husband Kevin of Grain Valley, Mo. Brianna was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Kenny and Shirley Harris. Brianna attended Venture Church in Cape Coral where she enjoyed fellowship, music and worship. She also attended North Fort Myers Academy of the Arts where she was a 2 year member of the National Junior Honor Society, performed in the Nutcracker Ballet in 2014 and 2015, member of the school choir in 2014 and led the National Junior Honor Society to the Golisano Children's Hospital where they passed out candy to the children on Halloween. Brianna loved life and had a compassion to help others. She rang the bell for the Salvation Army at Christmas to collect donations, assisted with toy distribution at Salvation Army's Holiday House at Christmas time so that families could have toys for their children, helped feed the homeless at Vineyard Church one Thursday once a month and occasionally gave money to needy people standing on the street corner. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, loving spirit, strength, faith and strong will. Brianna lived her life as an example to love unconditionally and put others before yourself. Some of the activities she enjoyed were youth group on Wednesday night at the church, horseback and motorcycle riding, fort building, art and painting, singing, endless games of cards, her cat Milo, fried chicken, friends Dalton, Sydney and Manuela, dinner and conversation at the table, fishing, hiking and camping in the Mountains of North Carolina. In the short 15 years she was with us she touched thousands of lives, many of which she had never met. She had a beautiful magnetic persona about her which just drew people in. Though she is no longer with us, she will continue to impact people with the life legacy she has left for all of us to follow. Memorial Services will be held 5:00pm Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Cape Christian Fellowship, 2110 Chiquita Blvd S, Cape Coral, FL 33991. Pastor Kevin Klumpyan officiating.
