Bruce Everett Byrd

Bruce Everett Byrd, 58, a Lee County, Florida resident since 1958, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016 in Cape Coral, Florida. He was born November 26, 1957 in Freeport, Texas to Thomas and Maddie Byrd, now deceased. He is survived by two loving children, Bruce J. Byrd of Cape Coral and Rebecca L. Simmons (Caleb) of Wasilla, AK; brothers, Raymond Byrd (Betty) of North Ft. Myers, FL, Robert Byrd (Edna) of Alva, FL, and Thomas Byrd of Lehigh Acres, FL; sister, Barbara "Pat" Johnson, also of Lehigh Acres; four grandchildren, Caden and Riley, the twins and Troy and Hailey; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as his former wife, Katherine Perkins (Byrd) of Cape Coral. Along with his parents, Bruce was also preceded in death by five siblings. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL 33916. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cape Coral, is entrusted with final care. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL 33916.
