Burle Taylor, Jr., 82, a Fort Myers, Florida resident since 1962, formerly of Pink Hill, North Carolina, passed away Sunday September 14, 2025, in Fort Myers. He was born August 11, 1943, in Lenore County, NC to Mary and Burle Taylor, now deceased.
Burle was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, Tice Congregation. He was a hard worker, devoted husband, loving father to his children his grandchildren and servant of Jehovah God. He showed his children the value of hard work and the importance of family, he was someone you could look up to and always count on whether in times of joy or times of struggle he was a man of his word and beliefs. Burle could talk for hours about anything with anyone, he enjoyed being involved with his grandchildren, they brought joy to his heart and there wasn’t a day that went by he wasn’t involved with them or asked about them, they put a smile on his face and in his heart.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Evelyn Taylor of Fort Myers; four children, Wayne Taylor of Ft Myers, Curtis Taylor and wife Michele of Labelle, FL, Audrey Edwards and husband Gerald of Ft. Myers and Kevin Taylor and wife Kelly also of Labelle; four siblings, Mary Ellen Sumner of NC, Margaret Hancock and husband Bobby also of NC, Glenn Taylor and wife Twyla of Oklahoma and Temmey Taylor and husband Jan also of OK; six grandchildren, Kyle, Justin, Brad, Hunter, Jolee and Olivia; two great grandchildren, Brooke and Sophia; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Burle was preceded in death by a brother, Frankie Taylor.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, Tice Street, Fort Myers at a later date.
