Caryn Adams Lingard

Caryn Adams Lingard, 56, a resident of North Fort Myers, FL for more than 40 years, formerly of Mastic Beach, NY, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 in Cape Coral, FL. She was born December 25, 1965 in Brooklyn, NY to Carl and Carol Nelson, now deceased.

Caryn was of the Christian faith. She was the most amazingly strong and caring woman we’ve ever known. She had a heart of gold and would do anything to help those who needed it. Nothing meant more to her then her family. Her children and grandchildren were her whole world, from her biological to those she loved as her own. When she told someone she loved them she meant it and always would. Nothing could change the love she gave. She was truly a special person, and we were extremely blessed to call her Mom, Grandma, Sister and Friend. 

She is survived by her loving children, Raymond Nelson (Amy), Amber Wellman (Joshua) , and Daniel Adams (Akayla Doxey) all of North Fort Myers; siblings, Cathy King (Audie) of Grayson County, KY, Cindy Pettrey (Gary) of Radcliff, KY, Carolyn Burbank of Alaska, and Gary Nelson (Linda) of North Fort Myers; as well as grandchildren, Raeann, Kay’Leigh, Sarah, Lillian, Dominick,Riley, Brayden, Carol, Daisy, Liam and Daniel Ray.

Caryn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lingard in 2009; former husband, Ronald Moore in 1999; mother, Carol Nelson in 1999; father, Carl Nelson in 2020; as well as brother, Carl Nelson in 2012.
