Catherine Denise Kidwell

Catherine (Cathie) Denise Kidwell, age 70, passed away on Wednesday May 28, 2025, in Cape Coral Florida.

As a lifetime member of HOG (Harley Owners Group), Cathie took many memorable trips across the country on two wheels. Cathie was also a member of Women of the Wind motorcycle club and enjoyed any time spent riding with friends and family on her Heritage Softail.

She was preceded in death by her father, Russell Connelly, mother, Marcia Connelly and three brothers. She is survived by her two sisters, three children, Brian Grimsley of Maryland, Jessica Grimsley of Maryland, Mark (Joann) Holmes of Arizona and three grandchildren Mackenzie, Molly and Tristian.

Cathie loved all genres of music from Daft Punk to Bob Seger. Music filled her soul and she was fortunate enough to see over 50 artists in concert during her lifetime. She shared stories with her granddaughters of how she and President Carter both attended the same Willie Nelson concert, how she won front row tickets to Cat Stevens and that Fleetwood Mac was the best concert ever.

Cathie was always looking to have a good time; whether camping, canoeing, fishing or exploring on two wheels with the wind in her hair. Cathie could also easily get lost in a book and read it cover to cover in a day, especially if it was by Stephen King and Dean Koontz.

Cathie had multiple tattoos depicting Native Americans lifestyles, loved Native American art and pottery and often picked up Native American jewelry as she traveled out west with her motorcycle club to The Bad Lands and the Grand Canyon. Cathie lived a life of adventure, met a lot of folks along the way and will be missed by many.
