Celio Pena

Celio Pena, 61, a resident of Fort Myers, FL for the past 33 years, formerly of Danbury, CT, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024, in Fort Myers. He was born April 20, 1962, in Amparo da Serra, Minas Gerais, Brazil to Josê Faustino Pena and Irene de Souza Pena now deceased.

Celio was of the Catholic faith. Those who met Célio know how dear he was, hard-working, and loved by all around him. He was always available and willing to help his friends and family with much love and care. It was because of his special character that God took him home so soon, leaving behind endless nostalgic memories in the hearts of everyone who had the honor of knowing him. He considered his closest friends as part of the family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ana Maria Pena of Fort Myers; four loving stepchildren, Glizia and James Roell of Punta Gorda, FL, Augusto Grossi of Fort Myers, Glaucia and Fernando Luz of Fort Myers, Ana and Mark Bunton of Lehigh Acres and four step-grandchildren, Rebecca, Nicholas, Marisa and Izac; seven  siblings, Sebastião, Custódio, Miguel, Leda, Tachi, Cecília, and Neide; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends for a Time of Visitation from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33916.
