Charles Edwin George

Charles Edwin George- affectionately known as Chick, 82, a resident of Cape Coral, Fl since 2004, formerly of Hawaii and Munroe Falls, OH, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022, in Cape Coral. He was born January 12, 1940, in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, to Irving and Mildred George, now deceased.

Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. A graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High school - Class of 1958. He worked as a machinist, machining tire molds for Goodyear Tire and Rubber, retiring with nearly 35 years of service.

Charles was a member of Life Church in Fort Myers, FL., where he served through the ministry of helps and hospitality, always willing to open his home or lend his hand to anyone in need. The legacy he leaves to his family is that he exemplified what it meant to be a Christian, not by the words he spoke but through the life he lived.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Janet George of Cape Coral, FL; children, Richard George (Robin) of Trinity, NC, Carey George (Valerie) of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, David George (Barbara) of Goodyear Heights, OH, Cindy Hance (Charles) of Hartville, OH, Donald George (Carolyn) of Cape Coral, FL, and Darren George (Vonnie) of Tallmadge, OH; as well as sixteen grandchildren, and thirty great-grandchildren.

Charles was preceded in death by his four sisters and two brothers.

Memorial services in Florida will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Life Church, 11735 Plantation Road, Fort Myers, FL 33966, with Pastor Ryan Deaton officiating.

Memorial services in Ohio will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Cornerstone Christian Assembly, 1531 Ettle Drive, Barberton, OH 44203.
