Charles Henry Springer, Jr.

Charles Henry Springer, Jr., 78, a resident of North Fort Myers, FL for the past 18 years, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020 in North Fort Myers. He was born July 16, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA to Charles and Mamie Springer, Sr., now deceased.

Charles was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in North Fort Myers. He served in The United States Army for three years after graduating High School in 1959.  On March 15, 1966 he was hired by Canada Dry Delaware Bottling Company where he was a faithful employee for 36 years and retired in 2002 at their sister plant, Pepsi, Pennsauken. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of over 52 years, Joan Springer of North Fort Myers; five loving children, Charles Springer (Jennifer) of North Fort Myers, Michael Springer (Suzanne) of Fort Myers, Mark Springer (Debra) of Charleston, SC, Gregory Springer (Jennifer) of Warrington, PA, and Stephen Springer of Bethlehem, PA; sister, Patricia Dougherty of Marlton, NJ; as well as grandchildren, Sarah, Catherine, William, Ryan, Regine Cooper, Chloe, Owen, Bridget, Isabella, Gregory, and Sophia.

A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 6, 2020 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 20115 N. Tamiami Trail, North Fort Myers, FL 33903 with Father Tom Heck officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Committal Services with Military Honors will be held 1:00 PM Monday, March 9, 2020 at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.
