Cheryl J. Carruthers

Cheryl J. Carruthers, 73, a lifelong resident of Fort Myers, FL, passed away Friday, November 22, 2024 in Fort Myers. She was born April 26, 1951 in Moultrie, GA to J.C. and Ruby May, now deceased.

Cheryl was of the Pentecostal faith. She was a member of the American Legion, #351, in Fort Myers, as well as the VFW in Lehigh Acres. She served with the Lee County Sherrif Office for 40 plus years - as a Switchboard Operator / Communications, she was the longest working employee with LCSO . She retired back in 2021. She loved karaoke, thrift shopping and lived her life with such love and kindness. 

She is survived by two loving children, Tammy Carruthers Perez and Chadwick Carruthers; five siblings, Penny, Sandra, Sheila, Ronny, and Donny; four grandchildren, London Armond, Curtis, and Craig; as well as four great grandchildren, Adrian, Annalise, Roman, and Ella.
