Clarence “Buster” Walter Strassburger, Jr.

Clarence “Buster” Walter Strassburger, Jr., 80, of Cape Coral, formerly of Middletown, OH, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024, in Cape Coral, FL. He was born May 9, 1944, in Middletown, OH to Clarence and Frieda Strassburger, now deceased.

Buster worked 42 years at the Middletown plant of Armco/AK Steel where he was a member of the Union before retiring in 2006. In 2019, he moved to Cape Coral to enjoy his retirement. He always said it was his “Paradise.” Buster enjoyed classic Western films, crossword puzzles, and riding his Harley Davidson.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Mary-Ellen Harig (Shawn) of Middletown, OH; one daughter in law, Amy Strassburger of OH; one sister, Sandra Gillen (Doug) of Port Orange, FL; two brothers, Barney Strassburger (Sue) of Middletown, OH and Bob Strassburger (Jo Ann) of Middletown, OH; four grandchildren, Hannah, Ava, Shelby, and Courtney; four great-grandchildren, Zaiden, Lincoln, River, and Raelynn; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Buster was preceded in death by his son, Scott Strassburger, and beloved significant other, Judi Cox.

Services in Florida and Ohio are pending.
