Colleen Tinsley, 72, a resident of Fort Myers, FL since 1972, formerly of Burlington Twp, NJ, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 in Fort Myers. She was born December 27, 1950 in Trenton, NJ to Vincent Richard McClaskey and H. Doris Burton, both now deceased.

Colleen was of the Catholic faith, attending and becoming very active at St. Cecelia and St. Francis churches. She was a proud graduate of the class of 1969 Burlington Twp. HS (Go Falcons!), attended the University of Hawaii, and in later years after raising her children, she was a dedicated and valued employee of both the Lee Memorial Hospital System at Health Park and the Veteran’s Hospital in North Cape Coral as a pharmacy technician.  Colleen had a great love for travel, visiting many areas of the U.S. and abroad.

She is survived by her two children, Kyle Wood Tinsley and Rena Marie Tinsley-Tablott of Ft. Myers, FL; two sisters and a brother, Wanda L. Getz of Ft. Myers, Sharon (Sherry) Ward of Burlington, NJ, and brother, Richard V. McClaskey of the Philippines; along with her nephew, R. Christopher Bembry and his partner, Ashlyn Shearn of Norman, OK; and her beloved cat, Raby.

Colleen had a special place in her heart for her children, her siblings, her friends in New Jersey and Florida, her coworkers at the VA pharmacy, and the many caring neighbors in her Pine Brook community. The family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to everyone who shared in the life of Colleen.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 AM on  Monday, April 3, 2023 at St. Cecelia’s Catholic church, in Ft. Myers. Colleen’s final resting place will be near her Grandmother and Grandfather in the Bordentown, N.J. cemetery.
