Cynthia B. Pederson

Cynthia Ann Butler "Cyndie" Pederson, 70, a Lee County, Florida resident for the past eight years, formerly of Lunenburg, MA passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 in Cape Coral, Florida. She was born October 8, 1945 in Putnam, CT to Robert and Barbara Butler, now deceased. Cyndie was graduate of Acton-Boxborough Regional High School (1963) and Westbrook Junior College (1965) in Maine. She spent much of her career as a bookkeeper and comptroller at automotive dealerships in Massachusetts. A former den mother and Sunday School teacher, Cyndie became an avid knitter in retirement and donated her time knitting prayer shawls and baby caps for patients at Lee Memorial Hospital. She was recognized last year for over 13,000 hours of volunteer time and received a President's Volunteer Service Award and Lifetime Achievement Award. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and beloved husband of 50 years, John Pederson of Cape Coral; two loving children, Jay Pederson and his wife Jennifer of Shirley, MA and Michelle Oliviero and her husband Paul of Lutz, FL; sister, Sarah "Sally" Zink of Stow, MA, and brother, David Butler and his wife Karen of Northbridge, MA; granddaughter, Allison Wentworth of Tallahassee and Lutz, FL; several nieces and nephews; as well as several grandnieces and grandnephews. The family will receive friends from 9 AM - 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton, MA 01460. A Graveside Service will be held 11 AM at Westlawn Cemetery, 7 New Estate Rd., Littleton, MA 01460. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Cyndie Pederson are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
