David D. Curtis

David Douglas Curtis, 59, a Lee County, Florida resident for the past 47 years, formerly of IN, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in North Ft. Myers, FL. He was born July 9, 1956 in Anderson, IN to Ronald and Wilma Jean Curtis, now deceased. David was a hardworking and well accomplished tradesman in the field of air conditioning since the age of 15, holding supervisory and management positions for the past 20 years. He was a very generous man who enjoyed recreation, cars and motorcycles, friends, food, and life. He would say that his greatest accomplishments were his two children, and his nine grandchildren. An incredible friend to many, he lit up the room with his smile. He will be remembered fondly and greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by two loving children, David Curtis, Jr. of North Ft. Myers and Cindy Kurtz (Mike) of Burlington, KY; former spouse and mother of his children, Vivian Curtis; four loving siblings, Connie Owens of IN, Christy Alderman of North Ft. Myers, Ron Curtis, also of North Ft. Myers, and Jeanne Freeman (Kenneth) of Ft. Myers Shores; nine grandchildren, Meghann, McKenna, Hunter, Clover, Sandra, Chase, Daven, Anna and Sophia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held 7:00 PM Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL 33916 with Pastor Randy Alston officiating.
