David Howard Whiteleather, 58, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past five years, formerly of Carol Stream, IL, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021. He was born March 20, 1962 in Chicago, IL to Robert and Gayle Whiteleather, now deceased.
David was a friendly and kind person who prided himself on his hard work-ethic and commitment to those around him. He has worked many different careers throughout his life and always made friends along the way. He was an avid dog lover and was always willing to go the extra mile, including driving across the country help deliver fostered dogs to their forever homes. In his free time, he enjoyed being with friends and family, especially out on the water. He also enjoyed cheered for his favorite Chicago sports teams, even all the way from Florida.
He is survived by his former wife, Roseann Whiteleather of Wood Dale. IL; loving son, Mark Whiteleather of Roselle, IL; brother, Paul Whiteleather (Kim) Carol Stream, IL; nephews, Devin and Adam; as well as a special friend, Lauren Sicherman of Cape Coral.
