David Francis Wolf, 72, of Danbury,CT,succumbed peacefullyto MultipleMyelomasurrounded by hisfriends andfamily on November 6, 2015 in Ft. Myers, FL. He was born January 25, 1943 in Buffalo, NY to Francis and Rowena Wolf, now deceased. David was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all.His quirkysense of humor put peopleat ease andwasalways quick with a joke.Davidwasalwaysinterested in people andwould have likedto be a considered a loyal, friendly and considerate person.When he was healthy, David reveled insports,played golf, tennis and racquetball.Dave wasalways up for a betwith his pals.Heenjoyed traveling with hisbride. He was fortunatetovisit sixof the sevencontinents and all 50United States.He loved conversations, long walks, and good booksand was particularlyfond ofanyshowon"The History Channel". Dave tookpride in his service as an accomplishedaviator in the U.S. Navy serving from1962-1968during the Vietnam War. Not only a proud veteran,Daveenjoyedasuccessful career with Eastern Airlinesas a co-pilotuntil the late 1980's. Shortly after, Davidstarted a painting company to provide for hisfamily. He showed strength, courageand a sense of humorright up until his last days. He is survivedby his beloved wife of 48 years, Bernadette (Cruickshank); daughter Lisa (Ross) Martin; son Matthew (Dawn) Wolf; andknown as "Bop-Bop" tosixloving grandchildren, Arielle, Matthew, Hayleigh, Cash, Chloe and Charlotte; as well as niece, Judy Borschel and nephew,Jack Holnbeck. Along with his parents David was preceded in death by a sister, Donna (John) Holnbeck. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00am Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 12171 Iona Road, Fort MyersFL 33908. Burial will immediately follow at the Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, FL. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday, November 9th at Mullins Memorial Funeral Home Cremation Service, 3645 Palm Beach Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL 33916.
