Dawn Catherine Hawkes

Dawn Catherine Hawkes, 58, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 2004, formerly of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023 in Cape Coral. She was born July 14, 1964 in Murfreesboro, TN to Robert and Kathleen Ashton, now deceased.

Dawn was of the Catholic faith. Dawnie, which everyone called her, was a kind loving person who touched the hearts of everyone. She would even give her last dollar or even a ride home to someone in need. She loved entertaining and cooking for friends and neighbors, making sure everyone had enough to eat and drink. She was also a great bartender too, no one had an empty glass. That was one of her happiest moments. She also loved her backyard, the birds feeding and washing in the birdbaths, and the squirrels playing. I will always love and miss you until we can meet again.

She is survived by her loving husband since 1999, Wayne Hawkes; child, Connor Hawkes (Trina) of PA; sister, Natalie Ashton-Thacker (Jaime) of Jeffersonville, IN; grandchild, Milo Hawkes; as well as her best friends, Dolores Pouliot of Naples, FL and Suzanne Adkins of Clarksville, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM on Thursday, April 6, 2023 on Mullins Memorial, 1056 NE 7^th Terrace, Cape Coral, FL 33909.The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 4:00 PM until time of service.
