Derrick John Silva, 42, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 1987, formerly of Hull, MA, passed away Friday, January 29, 2021 in Cape Coral. He was born December 5, 1978 in Stoughton, MA. to John and Katherine Silva.
Derrick was of the Catholic faith. He was a loving father, an amazing boyfriend, and a great friend to everyone around him. He brought light to everyone he came into contact with. He was very giving, and always offered to help anyone who needed it. Derrick always gave the best advice, he was always a level-headed person, and someone to count on. Derrick will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Ivy Silva of Cape Coral, FL; longtime companion, Jessica Miller of Cape Coral, FL; father, John Silva of New Bedford, MA; sister, Kelley Silva of New Bedford, MA; two brothers, Brendan Silva of Cape Coral, FL and Jammie Silva of New Bedford, MA; two step children, Stacia Miller and Maxwell Miller, both of Cape Coral, FL as well as a large and loving extended family.
Derrick is preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Silva; brother, Patrick Silva and sister, Melanie Rheinheimer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
