Devin Lee Glidden

Devin Lee Glidden, 33, a lifelong resident of Lee County, FL, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021. He was born October 28, 1987 in Fort Myers, FL. He was of the Christian faith, attended school in Ft. Myers, and later entered the work force. Periodically in the construction field with his father or stepfather.

He loved animals, friends, family and his children, Aliyah and Devin Lee, Junior. Devin loved the outdoors while fishing and enjoying a good bonfire with those he felt closest to. Devin’s love of music was well known to others. He used it to push outward; or pull inward, always waiting for peace. He wore his heart on his sleeve and was loyal and generous to a fault. He was father, son, brother, grandchild, uncle, cousin, and friend, who is loved by many.

He is survived by his loving parents; mother, Selena Risner (stepfather Mike Hall and his children Jennifer Haley and Thomas Colbert of Lehigh Acres, FL), father, Gary Glidden (stepmother Deb of Cape Coral, FL); two beautiful children, Aliyah Nicole Glidden and Devin Lee “DJ” Glidden, both of Lehigh Acres; sisters, Lacey Nicole Smith (John) of Fort Myers, and Victoria Dallas Glidden of Cape Coral; paternal grandparents, Janet Simmons (Daniel) of Lehigh Acres, and Gene Glidden of TN; niece and nephew, Leanna and Kaleb; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as Zeus, his dog.

Devin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marylyn Risner-Pellersels (Dan) and Warnie Risner; as well as an aunt, Taunja Callis.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 1, 2021 at New Hope Christian Church, 17181 Tarpon Way, North Fort Myers, FL 33917 with Pastor Tracy officiating.
