Dominick Squicciarini

January 3, 1941 — July 21, 2025

With deep love and heavy hearts, we share the passing of Dominick Squicciarini, a devoted husband, proud father, beloved “Papi,” and courageous U.S. veteran, who passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, in Cape Coral, Florida, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on January 3, 1941, in Sannicandro di Bari, Italy, to Giovanni Squicciarini and Paola Tangorra, Dominick immigrated to the United States and built a life defined by resilience, loyalty, and deep love. He proudly served his adopted country during the Vietnam era and embodied the values of hard work, humility, and unwavering commitment to family.

Dominick was the cherished husband of Amanda Pilar (Barrera) Squicciarini, his partner in life and love for nearly 60 years. Together they raised three children: Janya, the eldest, married to Michael; Dominick, the middle child; and Christopher, the youngest, married to Kimberly. As a father, he was steady, loyal, and endlessly supportive—our protector and our greatest champion.

He leaves behind seven grandchildren who lovingly called him “Papi”: Christopher Michael, Amanda, Noah, Owen, Anden, Kinsley, and Enzo. His legacy lives on in each of them—in their kindness, their curiosity, and their humor.

Dominick and Amanda raised their family on Long Island, New York, where they built a life full of laughter, tradition, and deep family roots. In 1995, they relocated to Florida, embracing a new chapter filled with sunshine and a slower pace of life.

Dominick was never one to sit still. He loved the open road and found great joy in road trips and traveling—especially to Mexico, where the warmth of the culture and people always felt like home. One of his greatest joys was spending time at the family’s beloved cabin in Blue Ridge, Georgia, a special place filled with peace, nature, and generations of unforgettable memories.

Dominick’s storytelling, sharp wit, and fierce devotion to his family left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. He showed us what it means to lead with quiet strength and a generous heart.

Rest easy, Dad. You did more than enough—and you did it all your way. ????????????????️
