Donald Allen Upton, 62, a Cape Coral, FL resident since 2004, formerly of Bulverde, TX and Miami, FL, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014, in Cape Coral. He was born November 20, 1951 in Miami to Virgil and Velma Upton, now deceased. Donald was a veteran of the US Navy Reserve. He worked at Eastern Airlines for 20 years and most recently enjoyed working as a Security Specialist at Cape Coral High School.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Florence R. Upton of Cape Coral; his beloved daughter, Katie Upton also of Cape Coral; as well as his sister, Lisa Wishe and husband Eric of Palm Bay, FL; and many cherished friends at Cape Coral High. Don was loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
No formal services are planned at this time.
Military honors will be presented at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, FL; date and time to be announced.
