Doris Marie Churchill, 90, of Cape Coral, formerly of Palermo, NJ, passed away peacefully, in the company of family, Thursday, May 7, 2015 in Ft. Myers. She was born in Camden NJ January 6, 1925 to Ira and Mary Condit, now deceased.
Doris was a long time member of Collingswood Presbyterian Church in NJ. Where she was a member of both the choir & hand bell choir. She graduated for Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden and then went to work for Esterbrook Pen Co. She quickly became executive secretary due to her experience & bilingual skills. Doris developed her love of traveling & adventure while married to loving husband Master Sergeant William Churchill, now deceased. That passion continued, taking her to many parts of the world.
She will always be remembered by her family& friends as having an ever present sense of humor, generosity, & kindness. She is survived by her loving daughter, Christine "Tina" Garcia and her husband, Bert of Cape Coral; and the grandchildren that she cherished, Elise, Chas, Amy and Brittinee; as well as one great-grandchild, Daisy-Mae who made her "light up!"
A private Memorial Service and inurnment will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
