Dorothy "Dottie" Elizabeth White, 73, of Cape Coral, formerly of Lady Lake, FL passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014 in Cape Coral. She was born March 3, 1941 in Boston, MA to Charles and Nella White, now deceased.
Dottie was a US Army Vietnam War veteran. She went to MA General School of Nursing and then enrolled in the US Army. She was a devoted and nurturing nurse while serving in the Vietnam area. She worked at the San Antonio Burn Center for three years, treating and comforting soldiers. After that she worked in the Miami VA Hospital. She also did several years in Home Health Nursing. She loved nursing, the more difficult, the better.
She is survived by her beloved siblings, Priscilla Small and her husband Dick of Cape Coral, FL and Charles A. White and his wife Stella of East Dummerston, VT and their children, Lydia Holmes and her husband Matthew, their two sons, Kyle and Trevor; Heidi White Gale and her two daughters, Emily and Olivia; nephews, Wayne Small and his wife, Kimberly Kuebler Small of Grantham, NH and Brian Small and his wife, Kristin And eleven grandchildren of Claremont, NH.
Memorial services will be held in New Hampshire at a later date.
