Douglas “Bumpy” Gordon Bahr (87), formerly of ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­ Milwaukee, WI, was a resident of Cape Coral, FL, for the past 41 years. He was born August 9, 1932 in Oshkosh, WI to Ewald and Sadie Bahr, now deceased. He passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 in Cape Coral, FL after a long battle with cancer.

Bumpy, a veteran of the United States Navy, was of the Christian faith and attended services at Faith Assembly of God in North Fort Myers. Bumpy lived a very active lifestyle and walked for miles, every day, for several years. He never passed up an opportunity to have a cold beer while watching the Packer game. He also enjoyed outdoor activities with family, such as four-wheeling at Peace River Campground, boating, and visiting Silver Springs Campground in Wisconsin during the summer months.

He is survived by: his two loving sons, Eric Bahr (Laurie) of Hartland, WI, and Lon Bahr (JoAnn) of Hartland, WI; four siblings, Betty Jensen of WI, Richard Bahr of WI, Joyce Murphy of WI, and JoAnn Klinel of WI; sister in law, Gretta Bahr of WI; sons and daughters in law; Lori Sturgeon of North Fort Myers; Steve Davis (Cindy) of West Allis, WI; Kristi Cottrill (Jim) of North Ft. Myers; and Vicki Bubar (Bob) of North Ft. Myers; 16 grandchildren, Stacey, Mallory, Adam, T.J., Josh, Fallan, Bryan, Marcus, Angela, Steven, Tracy, James, Jessica, Rob, T.J., Michael; 13 great grandchildren, Ethan, Collin, Skyler, Emily, Davina, Jordan, Jace, Joelle, Logan, Hannah, Haven, Brynley, and Ella; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Douglas was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 38 years, Patricia Williams “PB” Bahr, in 2018; five siblings, Pat Kuhn, Jim Bahr, Don Bahr, Janet Bahr, and Robert Bahr; and loyal, furry companion for many years, Max.

A celebration of life will be held with family and close friends in Florida on a date that is still to be determined.
