Edna Espiritu Lunario

Edna Espiritu Lunario, 64, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past year, formerly of Fort Washington, MD, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019 in Fort Myers, FL. She was born May 22, 1955 in Quezon, Philippines to Pedro and Remedios Espiritu, now deceased.
First and foremost, Edna was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She was selfless and tough - she always thought of her family before she thought of herself. After 15 accomplished years of Federal Service she retired May of 2017 from the U.S. Department of State. She loved travelling, cooking, music, biking and long walks, collecting (authentic - mind you!) designer bags, and tending to her beautiful garden. Her legacy and memories will continue through her family. She will be dearly missed for many wonderful things - her laughter, her smile, her amazing cooking, her singing, and her wit (true Filipino mom-style). We will miss mocking her and laughing about it with her. She loved her family with all her heart and soul. She was of devout Christian faith.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Henry Lunario of Cape Coral; two loving children, Jinky Lunario Azarcon (Jose) of Dallas, TX, and Jed Lunario (David) of Stuttgart, Germany; nine siblings, Tessie Adona, Nimfa Abuy, Miriam Domingo, Oscar Espiritu, Joel Espiritu, Rick Espiritu, Pio Espiritu, Robert Espiritu, and Voltaire Espiritu; as well as three grandchildren, Arin, Aizia, and Aysis.
Edna was preceded in death by a son, Eric Espiritu Lunario.
Funeral Services will be held 6:00 PM Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Mullins Memorial, 1056 NE 7th Terrace, Cape Coral, FL 33909 with Father Paul Nguyen officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
