Edward James Hatch, Sr.

Edward James Hatch, Sr., 89, a resident of Lee County, FL since 1992, formerly of Jamestown, NY, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born October 7, 1934 in Corry, PA to Robert and Cleo Hatch, now deceased.

Ed and Mary married in 1971.  They worked at Art Metal until it closed.  In 1975 they bought a Bar Restaurant and named it Hatche’s.  They were in business for 22 years until they retired to Florida in 1997.  Ed was a great athlete and loved sports.  His passion being baseball and golf.  He attended St. Therese Roman Catholic Church in North Fort Myers, FL. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Mary Hatch of North Fort Myers; loving son, Edward Hatch, Jr. of Stanfield, NC; sister, Elvern “Bunny” Priestap of Erie, PA; grandchildren, Tage, Jordan, and Holly; as well as several nieces and nephews.
