Edward Frederick Nass, 75, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 1999, formerly of Sayreville, NJ, passed away Thursday October 20, 2022, in Cape Coral. He was born February 23, 1947, in Orange NJ to Edward and Elizabeth Nass now deceased.

Edward was a 100% service-connected disabled veteran of the United States Navy. He served on the Aircraft Carrier USS Intrepid as a combat photographer. He survived 5 cancers since 1988 all thanks to Agent Orange from Viet Nam.

He worked as a Tool and Die Maker at Triad Tool in New Jersey.

When he moved to Florida he worked as a Sergeant with the Charlotte Correctional Institution. He also worked as a Home Inspector.

He is survived by his beloved wife Joan Dwyer Nass of Cape Coral; Two children Heather Kutney (Christopher) of Jackson, NJ and Sandy Weiss of Tampa, Florida. Also two step Children that he impacted greatly; Nicole Brodie (Matthew) of Sandy Hook, CT and Sean Psarros of Fort Myers, FL; five siblings, Barbara (Patrick) McGoohan, James Nazz, Michael, Nancy Rogers, Scott (Bernadette) Nass; numerous nieces and nephews; 13 grandchildren, as well as Jake his dog and Max his Macaw.

Memorial Services with Military Honors were held at the VFW Post 10127, 996 Pondella Road, N Fort Myers, FL 33903. There was a Celebration of Life afterwards. Ed sucked the marrow out of Life! He’s gone too soon but he Lived!
