Eleanor Edyth Kaufman, 80, a resident of Fort Myers, FL since June 1, 2018, formerly of Pembroke Pines, FL, passed away Friday, October 4, 2019 in Fort Myers. She was born January 12, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY to Arthur and Fannie Greenfield, now deceased.

Eleanor was of the Messianic Jewish faith. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and loyal friend.

She is survived by her beloved husband of over 38 years, Jim Kaufman of Fort Myers; four loving children, David Ross of Fort Myers, Terry Smith (Michael) of Silver Springs, MD, Traci Fraley (Brett) of Crosslanes, WV, and Cherie Coogle of Fairmont, WVA; seven grandchildren, Sheila, Louis, Zachary, Nicholas, Tommy, Dylan, and Staci; one great grandchild, Julius; three nieces and one nephew; as well as five cats, Shainah, Daisy, Nutmeg, Molly, and Annie.

Eleanor was preceded in death by a sister, Jeannette Abrams, as well as a brother, Paul Greenfield.

Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 SR 72, Sarasota, FL 34241 with David Ross officiating.
