Elizabeth Moran Brotton

Elizabeth M. Brotton, 92, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016 after a brief stay at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, FL. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, William G. Brotton who died in 1984 in her home state of North Carolina. She is survived by her loving family, Dan (Cece), Sally (Les), Becky, Bill, Taylor, and Nick. Elizabeth shared her enthusiasm, laughter, and love of life with all who knew her. Her many talents ranged from woodworking, wallpapering, gardening, stained glass, knitting, quilting, and all forms of needlework which she continued into her 90's. A renaissance woman. As her memory failed in later life she still loved to go out, saying "I don't know where we're going, but I know I'm going to have fun!" Elizabeth was a good wife, a wonderful mother, and a good friend. She did not let the boundaries of status in life influence her many friendships. If you were her friend she would always be there for you. "To know her was to love her." She will be remembered and missed by many. A Celebration of her life will be held 11:00am in Littleton, NC at Calvary Methodist Church on April 13, 2016. She will rest beside Bill, her husband. May she rest in peace.
