Ephraim Sosa, 77, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 2004, formerly of Magnolia, NJ, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born October 9, 1948 in Puerto Rico to Juan and Carmen Sosa, deceased. Ephraim was a veteran of the United States Army and was of the Catholic faith. Ephraim went by Kookie to family and friends. Some of his passions included fitness, watching sports, crime documentaries and most importantly his loving family. He liked to stay in shape by walking/running and bike riding. To relax, he enjoyed laying back in his recliner and cheering on the Phillies, Eagles and 76ers. Kookie worked for the phone company for 30 years and it's where he met his wife, Elena.

First and foremost, Kookie was a family man and loved spending time with them. His sons benefited from his love and guidance that helped mold them into strong fathers themselves. Kookie excelled at entertaining the young kids in the family. His energetic playfulness endeared him to their hearts. They were always excited to see him, and he always made them smile.

Kookie admirably provided for his immediate as well as his extended family. Nothing stood in the way of providing care or resources in times of need. He played the role of the head of the family the way God intended. Kookie led with honor, discipline, integrity and connected with loved ones with genuine care and strong leadership. Those qualities are what we will most remember him by, and we truly thank him.

Ephraim is survived by his loving wife, Elena Sosa; his children, Efraim Sosa (Marisa) of Magnolia, NJ, and Marcus Sosa of Naples, FL; step-children, Luis Tirado of Cape Coral, FL, Alexis Clark (Matthew) of Cape Coral, FL, Jennifer Ruiz (Marla) of Stevensville, MI; sisters, Evelyn Diaz (Benny) of Deptford, NJ, Rose Sosa (Carlos) of Puerto Rico, and brother, Carlos Sosa (Carmen) of Deptford, NJ; seven grandchildren; as well as three great -grandchildren.
