Ernest Linwood Miner, 66, a new resident of North Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Windsor, NY, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, in Fort Myers, FL. He was born March 14, 1955, in Naples, Italy to James and Felicia Miner, now deceased.

Ernest was of the Catholic faith. He was an avid hunter, good refrigeration technician, loved the beach and fishing in his beloved Florida which reminded him of Italy. He loved his citrus and palm plants and any type of plant. The truth be known, cooking was another talent of his and he enjoyed feeding family and friends as well. Ernie took pride in his Italian heritage and enjoyed sci-fi movies and the good old Star Trek episodes. Our favorite music station was 104.9FM in Florida, yet he loved his Italian oldies music as well.

Often a Facebook inmate, a proud man and sometimes stubborn; like Frank Sinatra “Did it his way!” Ernie made friends easily as he had a great sense of humor. He loved his whole family and friends both North and South. He did accomplish many things in his life here that made him proud as well. I know we are all going to miss this funny man; a jack of all trades and a good provider for us. God has him home now where he is with other family and friends. Til we meet again Papa.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Rose Miner; children, Amanda DePersis of Windsor, Ny, and Ernest Jay Miner (Nicole) of Windsor, NY; siblings, Tony West (Laura) of Allentown, PA, Maria Garcia (Frank) of Windsor, NY, Suzie Malone (Paul) of Staten Island, NY, Anna Maria Miner of Binghamton, NY, and Rosa Troiano of Binghamton, NY; grandchildren, Destiny Sibley, Dovea Sibley, Riley Miner, Joey Hatala, and Mason Miner; as well as great grandchildren, River Zlock and Easton Hanson.
